Since 1946, HMC
Industries, Inc. has partnered with outstanding companies in a myriad of markets
providing quality merchandising fixtures, establishing itself as a premier
provider of point-of-purchase displays.
Originally, the company was known as Huston
Manufacturing Company, named for the founder, Bill Huston. At that time, the focus of the business was
furniture quality greeting card display fixtures made of solid wood products.
Each unit was hand built by skilled artisans, experts in their field.
As technology changed, and wood alternatives became the norm, HMC
continued to grow and change with the times.
The company changed ownership and focus
in 1970, when Jack Lundberg successfully expanded the customer base to include
sewing notions, photo finishing, children's books and amusements, intimate
apparel, confections, and baking supplies. Our products can be found in small
and large retailers alike, throughout the United
States and Canada.
Occasionally our products travel across borders to Mexico,
the United Kingdom,
and even Hong Kong.
Today, Craig Lundberg leads the team as
owner, chief design engineer, and a vital source of the creative energy that
HMC is known for. Having worked literally
in every facet of the company, he is well versed in the daily workings of
the company remaining keenly aware of the needs of the customer.
Along with his extensive practical knowledge, he holds a MBA from the
University of Washington.
The team approach works at HMC, limiting
turnover, and providing experience and pride throughout the organization. The average tenure with the company is over
10 years and most of us have been here more than 5 years. Value engineering and innovative thinking
are the keys to our success.
